The Tenor ukulele is my favourite size to build and play, for while still a small instrument, the Tenor produces a full rich tonal spectrum akin to a classical guitar. With its 17" scale length, the Tenor is large enough to generate real volume while small enough to retain a distinctive uke sound.
It is for these reasons that the Tenor is the most popular uke size for professional ukulele performers or guitar players and singers wanting to incorporate a wider voicing into their performances. It is indeed a simple transition for the guitarist, as the Tenor uke plays like a guitar cappoed at the 5th fret and uses the top 4 strings of a classical guitar.
~ Like all my instruments, everything can be customized on the Tenor ukulele and these can be found in my Options section
