Players Ukulele ~

The Players ukulele represents an instrument with the same uncompromising tone and beauty, but with all of the time consuming cosmetic build elements left off.
This gives me the opportunity to offer a more affordable alternative to my custom instruments.
The Players model has identical attention to top voicing and tonewood selection as my totally custom instruments. In fact, the insides are absolutely the same.
The Players ukulele have the following features left off or changed from my custom instruments.
Of course, any decorative element not included on the standard players model can be added for an appropriate upcharge. These include bindings, inlays,
select figured wood, high end finish, slotted headstock, decorative rosette etc. See my Options page for a comprehensive list of custom up grades available.
~ Players Model Standard Details
~ Top : Any softwood (Spruce, Redwood, Cedar) or matching hardwood to back/sides.
~ Back / Sides : Tasmanian Blackwood (not select figure) , Koa (not select figure), Maple, Mahogany, Indian rosewood, Walnut.
~ No bindings.
~ No end graft.
~ Non bound fingerboard.
~ Simple rosette ring, BWB, shell or wood. A custom rosette is a fantastic way to add further distinction. (see pic to right)
~ Solid peghead : Non bound with simplified fading purfling and bevelled edges. Peghead face receives decorative veneer such as BRW or walnut burl.
~ Grover tuners as standard- Many tuner up grades can be seen in the Options section, under Tuners.
Up grade options that add distinction or are beneficial to the player or instrument:
~ Custom Mosaic Rosette, Body bindings, Side Sound Port, Tuner up grade, High end Finish , Crossrock ABS or Fiberglass case.
~ Hand rubbed or sprayed Sunburst- Another option is a simple shade for an aged top tone look.
